They sent a reporter and camera crew to Clay Center Friday afternoon before the Solna game. They were doing a feature for the half time of the Ball State WNIT game they will broadcast. They came to Nicole Ohlde's house and taped some footage with a bunch of us local rabid fans including Nicole's Jr high coach and an assistant high school coach as well as the pres of the CC Catbacker group and others. Laurie Koehn's Mom, Dad and brother were there also. I may be in some shots including us doing cheers. The reporter seemed to be a little shocked that so many people would come to Ohlde's house for the tapeing in the middle of a friday afternoon. She was not sure if she was on the right street but when she turned the corner there was NO DOUBT. Hey, if Stan Ohlde asks you to come and wear your K-State gear you are going to be there!
It was enjoyable to meet and talk to Laurie's Mom. She is a nurse so we had mutual interests to talk about while we waited for the crew to arrive. Meeting her family helps you to understand why she is such a quality person.
