Baylor wins by 20 (83-63).
Tonights exhibition game gave us a chance to get a glimpse of the young players. Of course there were freshmen jitters, but they performed well. Stephanie Blackmon, Stasha Richards, Jessika Stratton, Melanie Hamerly and Jordan Davis started for the Lady Bears. The surprise player in my opinion was Chelsea Whittaker, the transfer from Virginia. Her ball handling was impressive along with her leadership. She made a Lambert-like, highlight-reel-worthy, behind-the-back pass to the post player on a drive to the basket. Jessika Stratton was aggressive in penetrating the lane. Jordan Davis hit some big 3s. The Lady Bears were not afraid to take it to the hoop or pull up with the outside jumper. Can't wait to see Dionne Brown, Abby Wabara, and Sophia Young hit the court in a game.
