in the first 5 seconds of last night's exhibition game. The curse of WBB strikes again. She had an outstanding freshman year and looked like she was becoming a great player. We'll have to wait at least a year to see her play again.

Too bad for Currie but last Duke Eight was Enough for Duke to go to the Final Four. Maybe this year Eleven will be Heaven for them to win the NC.

Does Duke have a message board for WBB?

oh no, the season-ending ACL's are beginning. Currie is such a fun player to watch, I'll certainly miss seeing her play this year.

Hate to see this happen, though she's a big, strong gal and will probably come back even stronger.

Wow! How depressing. Monique was my favorite Duke player last year. As a freshman, she really showed a great deal of poise and confidence. To have it happen so quickly is sad. Hopefully there won't be so many ACL injuries this season.

I tore my ACL playing basketball in a pick-up game in 1985 and have never been the same. Her youth and the rigors of rehabilitation will carry her through. Don't you know she is really sick about it considering their team is favored in the polls. (As is coach G.)

Luckily for Duke, Sophomore Wynter Whitley should be able to step up and give the Devils some very productive minutes. Whitley has just as mush athletic ability and potential as Curry, but her game is not as developed. Duke is still my early pick for NCs.
