And it's our very own Tracy Tripp! Some of you will remember when Tracy was a Lady Buff and quite a good one at that. It's not on the CU website yet, but I have received an email for a breakfast next Thursday and it says Tracy will be introduced.

Welcome home, Tracy.

I hope you are right LadyBuff. Sounds to me like it would be a good hire.

Tracy Tripp's playing days were before I arrived in Colorado, so I just did a little checking........she WAS good wasn't she!

Also checked her history to see what she has been doing since graduating from CU almost 20 years ago. It's interesting that she has been in coaching from day one....and most of the time in the state of Colorado: Fairview HS, Western State, and a bunch of years at University of Denver. So she certainly should have good contacts within the Colorado high school/AAU coaching ranks.

I do find it a bit curious that she would take a director of operations position with that much coaching already on her resume. Hopefully its because she really wants to be back at CU!

I will never forget all those 3 pointers she hit against OSU when we won our first Big 8 championship in Salina.

Here's my trivia question for Buff fans - or anybody reading this:

What other Colorado HS player came to CU the same season as Tracy and along with her really got the program going?

That is too easy, Mark. BT, Bridget Turner, #24 herself!

Okay - what high schools did Tripp and Turner attend?

Tripp went to Fort Collins High. I still remember her with the stuff lamb when they won the state championship.

Turner went to, I believe, Aurora Central. If not Central, it was Hinckley.

And Tracy did go to Fort Collins High, according to the article.

sounds like she will work on building back the link to former players. I dont know if it has been strained in the past, but a strong link to the past players is a important part of a program in my opinion
