ISU Non Conf. notes

ISU's non-conference schedule hasn't been announced but two teams on our non conf schedule have announced theirs. Via Cy Fanatic I found that ISU's away game with Iowa is Sun Dec. 7 and ISU's home game with Minn is Sun Dec. 21. Way to go Squawkeyes, most of the time our away game at Iowa is on a weeknight and many can't get off to go, but now with the game on a weekend even more cyclone fans can fill up carver hawkeye.

Does ISU play Minnesota every year?

They have just for the past few seasons. It's a nice series as the teams are usually pretty fairly evenly matched, ISU has a lot of fans follow the team to MN when the game is on the road, and more often than not the games are competitive. Hopefully this is a game that ISU and Minnesota keep on the schedule for seasons to come.

Edit: I looked up the specifics. They have played three seasons in a row with the home team winning each game.

Are you aware that they are in the Rainbow Wahine Classic from 11/28-30?

The other teams are host Hawaii, Bradley, Mississippi, Prairie View A&M, Purdue, San Diego St and Stanford.

Yup, that was posted a while back by ISU3ptland. We'll be in Hawaii for the games as will a few other hoopscoopers.

I really thought so, but thought it might me nice to mention, just in case. :)

Usually these off-shore tournaments are publicised far in advance by the schools who are attending.
