ISU's Anne O'Neil?

Any news about how her recovery is going? She tore an ACL back in May.

She's fine. I talked with her on Saturday at the Cyclone Shootout. She said it's still a little sore, but she played fine during the scrimmage, although she has one of the ugliest 3 point shots you'll ever see. The team looked really good. All I'll say about the post position is that a couple of players have been studying at the Angie Welle school of Post, and it looks like they've earned excellent grades. :-)

The Clones are gonna surprise a lot of people this year.

And Chipper, the officiating was horrible during the scrimmage!!!! LOL

She was officially cleared to practice the week before practice started, so she's been practicing for a few weeks now.

I was at the first ISU practice and I couldn't believe her shot. It looks like she's bringing the ball up to shoot but it slips out of her hands on the way. It's almost like she's shooting granny-style.

Well, she was the top career scorer in Iowa 5-player GBB history... http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif She was also the #2 scorer for U of Illinois as a freshman. She doesn't seem to have trouble making those shots.

Yes Anne O'Neil's 3 point shot is ugly but her pull-up jumper is pretty. I'd say 90% of her point in high school were pull-up jumpers and taking it to the basket hard (lot of free throws). At ISU she will be expected to shoot more threes.
