I'll post this on the front page as well, but had a few comments to add.
The article covers the men and women.
Final Four teams give Big 12 hoops credibility (http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/topstories/stories/103002dnspobig12lede.52ea5.html)

Thanks to junior Nicole Ohlde's play last season, Kansas State will probably open in the top 10 this year. The 6-4 center was named the preseason Player of the Year. Other centers around the league, such as Baylor's Steffanie Blackmon and Oklahoma State's Trisha Skibbe, can provide offensive fireworks.

Don't forget about the guards, either. Caton Hill leads Oklahoma, Tera Bjorklund guides Colorado, and Lindsey Wilson powers Iowa State.

OK, I'm sure this poor bottom of the totem pole guy has never seen either CU or OU play, so how would he know that Bjorkland is a center (and should have a great year at that)? Caton Hill might knock down the 3 with good accuracy, but since when does she play guard?

Clawing the competition: Kansas State center Nicole Ohlde is one of the best players in the Big 12. Good enough to carry a whole team, though?

So, this writer apparently hasn't heard the names Kendra Wecker and Laurie Koehn?
It's just frustrating when these 'professionals' can't do a little bit of research to get their facts straight.

While I agree that he flubbed some important points, I think we should go easy on this guy. Brian Davis is the DMN beat writer covering Tech in Lubbock. He is a UT grad and he could be a real jerk when writing about Tech but he has been very fair and is a good reporter IMO. I think he is trying. So- offer up some constructive criticism to him and I think he will respond by doing better next time.

I guess the DMN lost Tracy ???, the woman who wrote for them last year about wcbb.

If Brian is the one who will be covering wcbb for the DMN, we will just have to train him and help him get it right.

He has written little "Notebook" type items about the Lady Raiders for the DMN, so I don't think he completely hates wbb.

We aren't talking about hating women's basketball. Anybody can obtain a roster and know that Bjorklund and Hill are DEFINITELY NOT GUARDS. That's unbelievably bad reporting.

My 7-year old neice could do better!
