I'll post this on the front page as well, but had a few comments to add.
The article covers the men and women.
Final Four teams give Big 12 hoops credibility (http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/topstories/stories/103002dnspobig12lede.52ea5.html)
Thanks to junior Nicole Ohlde's play last season, Kansas State will probably open in the top 10 this year. The 6-4 center was named the preseason Player of the Year. Other centers around the league, such as Baylor's Steffanie Blackmon and Oklahoma State's Trisha Skibbe, can provide offensive fireworks.
Don't forget about the guards, either. Caton Hill leads Oklahoma, Tera Bjorklund guides Colorado, and Lindsey Wilson powers Iowa State.
OK, I'm sure this poor bottom of the totem pole guy has never seen either CU or OU play, so how would he know that Bjorkland is a center (and should have a great year at that)? Caton Hill might knock down the 3 with good accuracy, but since when does she play guard?
Clawing the competition: Kansas State center Nicole Ohlde is one of the best players in the Big 12. Good enough to carry a whole team, though?
So, this writer apparently hasn't heard the names Kendra Wecker and Laurie Koehn?
It's just frustrating when these 'professionals' can't do a little bit of research to get their facts straight.
