Did you guys go? I've read the attendence wasn't very good. I know me and my wife were planning on going after the football game, but after sitting for 4 hrs. in the rain and cold, we (she) decided it would be better to get home and get dry.

Anyway what were some of y'alls opinions? Mens or ladys? Thanks.

I would venture to guess around 2000...maybe a bit more. I think the weather really affected the attendance, after folks sat out in the rain and cold for 4 hours....

I was very, very impressed with Laura Andrews. The photo's on the website don't come close to doing these women justice.
It's hard for me to get a feel for a player just seeing drills; but on one or more occasions, I kept asking who's 33?....
that was Laura Andrews. Villaroel is smaller than I got the impression she was, though I've heard from several folks that she has to be caught first http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Kevin Bookout....impressive young man, all muscles.

mwc sooner--I'm with you. We had to drive back to Dallas, in the rain and being soaking wet head-to-toe. My feet were still cold when I got up this morning! http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif
And, I didn't want to wait until 8 to see any action; in addition to being wet we were very hungry.
Looking forward to hearing anyone else's opinions as well.

Thanks for your impressions. I know I'll be taking my daughter to quite a few OU womens game. Can't wait to see some of the new players in person!

I got over to the LNC about 4:30 to catch the second half of the football game, plus I wanted to be firmly planted in the autograph line at 6:30 so I could get my annual poster autographed and don't have to worry about it later......there was
a young 8 year old boy that came up in line behind me, mind you, the men's line was already 5 times as long; I asked him if he wanted the mens' team autographs and he said "no, I want this team, holding up the women's photo card.

I'd much rather see the women hold their own "scrimmage" at the Field House, as they've done in years' past.....I think Stacey
Dales got the most applause of anyone, men and women, though both coaches would have been a close second. I had my binoculars so I could see the recruits "up close"; after the women finished their skill drills, Coach Coale was talking to the recruits.....that is when the late seeking folks wanting autographs would allow her too.

Alison Bales is "big", sure would like to see her in OU Crimson and Cream http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif
