LOL!
I've heard rumors that former NU softball standout Leigh Suhr is considering helping the Huskers out this year.
If you think about it, wouldn't Keasha Cannon redshirting and coming back to play her senior season next year almost be a good thing? Another year would give players like Jina and Alexa Johnson a chance to mature, and when you throw in all the newcomers that will be joining the team, NU might actually have a chance to give Keasha a decent senior season. Even if she plays this year, the Huskers have little hope of winning 10 games.
In reagards to the football team, what can you say? This goes far deeper than talent, its game preparation and coaching. I'm also starting to question the integrity of Frank and his program. Thankfully Greichaly, John Cook, and the volleyball program were able to uphold the values of NU, and they seemed to have turned a negative into a positive, as the team seems to be refocused and emerging as a legitimate National Championship threat.

Leigh Suhr? Hmmm... she'd be enticing. Little crowd-pleasing playmaker. Has a hint of cockiness and a chip on her shoulder. Tough competitor.
If she brings Amanda Bucholtz along I'd say why not.
Cannon redshirtting? Not a bad idea if she can't go. The team will be poor this year, and agree it's starting to look like a 20-loss year.
However how much of this year can we afford to give up and keep fans in the seats is the big question. With Keasha Cannon we are uncompetitive but there is a player at least worth watching.
With Keasha Cannon I can see us winning 11 or 12 games. Without Keasha? I can see 6-22, 0-16.
I right with you though on thinking about next year. This year is already no fun and it hasn't even started. I hate to think what attendance will be.
