In the linked article, Ross says her top choices right now are Baylor, TCU, and A&M but that she is also still considering Texas Tech. She visits A&M this weekend. She wants a running style and no one runs more than the Aggies. This would be a great signing for Texas A&M.

Not to say Ross wouldn't be a good recruit for the Bears or the Lady Raiders.

Ross has mentioned UNM repeatedly in some recent articles I'd read.

I also thought I read that Baylor had only one 'ship to offer this year, and it was taken by Emily Niemann.

Mooooo,

I count 14 players with one senior on the current Baylor roster which would mean 2 scholarships for 2003.

In the linked article Ross says she finally turned UNM down because she perceives the Lobos as a half-court team.

Surprising. I was thinking that she was leaning more toward New Mexico or Texas Tech. The Ags could certainly use the help.

Her quote about Tech is interesting. Not sure about their sincerity???

Ross' brother, Ronald Ross, plays for Bobby Knight at Texas Tech. She said that is a big factor in keeping Tech in the picture.

"They (Tech's women) are a top-10 program, my brother is there, it's close to home, but they are guard-heavy, and I'm not sure about their sincerity," Ross said.

I find it interesting as well because throughout this process, it's always been her top 4-5, then she mentions Tech as still there, but.... To me that says she's wanting something.

I think we're talking about a player that wants to make an impact from the get-go and she wants some comfort in knowing wherever she goes, she'll be on the floor her frosh year. When you look at the number of guards Tech has, that will be tough her frosh year. However, after that, Perkins, Ritchie, Tennel are gone and they will need the depth.

I would love for her to chose Tech because she's an exciting player and has been on Tech's list since she was in the 8th grade, so I know they want her. But I also know that the coaches don't make a lot of promises to recuits that will cause chemistry problems.

Whoever gets her is getting a good one. If you've ever seen her play, you know what I mean.

Here's another story about Ross that also includes information about Jenna Lohse. Article also mentions that Kylee O'Dwyer is considering New Mexico, Colorado, and Oklahoma State and that Jamey Chapman is considering New Mexico, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, and Iowa. Here's the link:
