2nd half Kansas 39, Nebraska 32
Boogaard is leading the charge for the Jayhawks and they are winning the perimeter. The Jayhawks have outplayed the Huskers thus far at both ends.

Kansas 54, Nebraska 52..3:28 left. The Huskers have come back from an 11-point hole. Another gritty comeback needed, but this isn't over yet and KU has played a solid game until the last three minutes

Apparently Nebraska is shooting 10-25 from the free throw line! Unbelievable reversal from the last time these teams played when NU was something like 34-36 on free throws. Sounds like Turner is taking over at the end again...

Tay Hester first shot IN THERE WHEW!!!!!! 61-61!!!!!!
Now every guard somebody...NO LYNDSAY MEDDERS!!!
McCray on the drive...WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT???? YOU GOTTA CLOSE THAT DRIVE....
1.4 LEFT Bad call there...Griffin had position there, but you can't give a free release like that...
McCray for two to win it.
If the Jayhawks win the day, they earned it...You can't play tentative for 35 minutes and expect to win on the road against anybody.

McCray hit one 62-61
McCray missed the second didn't matter 62-61..
Congratulations Kansas, you earned it. Boogaard was tough inside. McCray led a charge outside and really outplayed my lasses for many stretches.
Nebraska -- You just lost another seed in S-Curve and you don't have that many to lose.
17-for-34 on free throws, 19 turnovers? This is not NCAA Tournament material.
Another February Fold? Its looking like it. :(
Thanks for the reports Chipper. Nice win by KU and a hard loss for NU.

What is it with Connie Yori-coached teams and February?? This is an entirely different group of players than the team from 4 years ago, but the result has been the same the last 5 years. Build up a great record and compete for a top four finish in the league from October to January, then fold up shop and jeopardize the NCAA tourney by losing to everyone in February. Every year we beat a couple upper level teams and then cancel them out by dropping games to mediocre teams from Colorado, Kansas, and Missouri.
I'm extremely worried about the Missouri game this week. Nebraska's lack of quality perimeter players has been exposed during this slump by D. Page. You can't expect your inside players to score 70% of the points every night. Also 17 of 34 shooting from free throws is bad enough to lose to anyone (this coming from the previously league-leading free throw shooting team).

Man we shot ourselves in the foot with those two close losses to Okie State and A and M at home, but good thing is I think we can close out the year and who knows;)

To be fair HuskerFan, Nebraska is a mediocre team, too.
A team that doesn't come to play will get beat by a team that does, and today Kansas came to play and went to our weaknesses. Our perimeter defense hasn't been there in the last 5 games, our posts get beat on the drives a great deal. Offensively, we aren't consistent. Overall, this team isn't focused in and it shows in our play.
On the other side, Kansas was locked in on this and they came to play. We made a move on them late and could have closed the deal...and instead of closing the show, they made a play
I'd be a little worried about Missouri, Texas Tech and Kansas State. Missouri I think we can win...but this team at USA and Bramledge? I don't see the mental toughness or the focus to get those road wins right now.
This team is better than what they are showing.
