The annual Cyclone Shootout will be one hour after the end of the ISU-Texas football gameon Oct. 26. This is an away game for the ISU football team, but the schedule is such that there is no good time to hold the shootout after a home game. This info is from a poster at the Cyclone Report message board (formerly the Cyclone Illustrated board).
The Cyclone Shootout consists of a few events:
* Introduction of everybody on both the MBB and WBB teams, including some pretty good pyrotechnics.
* A three-point competition where two MBB players go head-to-head to see who can make the most in 30 seconds. Then two WBB players do the same. The top MBB player and the top WBB player then go against each other in the finals. This was won by the WBB player every time I watched this until Jake Sullivan stepped onto campus. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif I think he's won each of the past two years.
* The MBB and WBB teams each do a 20-minute running-clock scrimmage.
* There is an auction for charity. Items auctioned off usually include dinner with Larry and his wife, dinner with Bill and his wife, and trips to the Big XII tournament.
This is what I remember from past years, and I have no reason to suspect anything different.
