Can't remember if this has been posted here or not, but starting in October Greg Swaim will be hosting a women's basketball call-in radio show. The show will be on Sunday nights from 7:30 to 8:00 pm (CST). The toll free call-in number is (877) 913-9739. The link to more information is at: http://www.gregswaim.com/show2.html

P.S. Yes, the area code should be 877. Thanks.

Here's a reply from Greg Swaim about the show on an OU message board:
As for the first-ever women's nationally syndicated call-in show, it'll start the first Sunday of November and we'll have Geno Auriema and Pat Summit as out guests, but plan on having Sherri soon therafter. Go to www.gregswaim.com/show2.html (http://www.gregswaim.com/show2.html) to listen in.

Well, I'm obviously behind! I apologize for wasting space on my message above. However, a number with an area code of 817 is not toll free. I think 817 is Ft Worth/Arlington. In fact, I'm sure it is. Do you mean 877?

Thank Vickie for inviting me over and I will indeed be a regular poster over here on this board...
I also hope that folks on this board will be loyal listeners to the new show, as it's been a little disheartening over the years to see so many women's basketball magazines and websites go under.
Fortunately with just about every college coach in the country taking our recruiting service and sponsors jumping aboard before we even get the show on the air, this program will be on for a long time.
P.S. Yes, the toll free number begins with 877.

Greg......I've listened in on your show a couple of times and I really enjoyed it. I really look forward to listening to a "women's only show" since it is my primary interest. I'll be listening http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif
I was very disappointed to see the Women's Basketball Journal go, it was where I got a lot of JUCO, DII, information. I probably wouldn't have gone looking for information like that, but it was nice to read about since it was right there.

The great thing about the women's only show, as opposed to a show with both men's and women's news, is on our show won't have you listening to what doesn't interest you.
I really hope you all will support the show, as if the producers and the sponsors (who've taken a chance in doing a half hour show) see that it's got a big following will give us a full hour.

Thanks, Greg for your quick response. You will find a lot of enthusiasm for Big 12 women's hoops on this board. You can see how much response there is in the off season, imagine during the season. Thanks again for responding; the folks here will respond to your efforts to provide information about women's hoops.
