That is great! I need to quit griping about TV games. Not only are the purple people on 4 times but the K-State games they chose are Texas, Oklahoma, Baylor and Texas Tech. Now if you tell me ESPN is going to chose K-State v CU and "KSU" v ISU in their package I will have to shut up, smile and count my blessings. (You knew I would never be able to keep pure with this K-State lable) http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Saturday, Jan. 11 Oklahoma at Nebraska 12 p.m.

Is this somebody's idea of a bad joke? I'd rather Nebraska not get any TV games than see them get butchered by 40 points.

That being Fox Sports Net, can't they maybe put in a rerun of Married With Children, heck even a rerun of 21 Jump Street!

Well Chipper, I could have commented on that but since I'm in this purple haze I thought I'd let that one pass. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif

No TTU-OU matchups or UT-OU matchups on Fox, so will be interesting to see if local TV will pick up some OU games like they did last season. Sure hope they travel to Lubbock and Austin!! I'm writing my emails now to Channel 9 in Oklahoma City!

schooner....wouldn't surprise me to see ESPN pick up one of the OU/TTU matches. I don't know if ESPN has ever picked up an OU/UT game before.

We can hope swok34, but realistically, it will be hard for the Connecticut/Tennessee lovers network* to squeeze in a Big 12 game. You know they have Duke to think about now and there are only so many time slots.

(*Nothing personal Chipper.)

From what I hear...ESPN seeks to get 4 or 5 Big 12 games on the card. There are some restrictions due to the conference's deal with Fox Sports Net.

The KSU vs. Iowa game in Jan. is part of the Big 12/Big 10 challenge and will be televised on one of the ESPN networks, probably back to back with Texas/Ohio St.

I expect the UT v. Tennessee will be on ESPN. That way they can make a token nod to the Big XII and still show Tennessee. I believe the OU v. UConn. matchup is in Hawaii or they would show that one.

elfdenmom,

We hope it is an OU-UConn matchup, but that is a pretty fair field. I dearly wish I could be there!

Of course the fact that it is in Hawaii has nothing whatsoever to do with that.

I didn't realize that ESPN and ESPN2 released seperately.....
I know OU's matchup with Tennessee and Texas Tech's matchup with La Tech are both on ESPN.
