I happen to be in Lawrence on business and I had the chance to see the team play. This team is very athletic!!!!

An interesting read. It seems that Lawrence may become Manhattan west.
Why do I get the feeling Nebraska just dropped to 12th?

Kansas State has one great year and the Jayhawks are known as Manhattan west. I believe the Jayhawks are ahead in head to head competition!!!!!

Well actually, Lawrence can't be Manhattan West yet.
Right now Kansas is The only Big 12 team to lose every conference game in a season.
C'mon now. Give credit where its due. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

I give credit to Kansas State for having a great year, they are a very good team who will contend for a conference title this season. I just think its a little premature to call the Jayhawks the Manhattan west after a bad season.

You misunderstand. If Kansas has a great year next year, then they'll mimic what KSU did (take a lot of young kids and ride out to wins), thus they'll be Manhattan West.
I'd rather be Manhattan West than Lincoln South right now.

Isn't Lawrence East of Manhattan, so shouldn't it be Manhatten East http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Speaking of Kansas, I just noticed looking back at their official releases that Tim Eatman is back as an assistant coach there. I know he is considered one of the best recruiters in the nation. Wonder if Washington begged and pleaded for him to come back. Now with the coaching staff of old - how long will it be till Kansas is near the top of the Big 12 again?
My bet is they will rise right back to the top. Maybe take a 2-3 years, but they will be back.
