Who are best defensive player(s) on each B12 team? Limit to two best. The one that gets the defensive rebounds, the steals, or most importantly, the one assigned to shut down the best shooter on the opponent.

I think I would pick Hastings from UT and Jackson from OU.

For Texas, I'd have to nominate Stacy Stephens; tenacious rebounder, and she gets quite a few steals for a post player.

OU's Dionnah Jackson, not sure I could pick a second person off the team without seeing the new girls. I would have guessed last year that Jackson and Ross were pretty close to being best defensive players for OU.

I do like Tocarra Williams for Texas A & M, the steal monster...

For Tech... Jia Perkins and I guess Plenette Pierson if she comes ready to play and practise up to her potential. It is really hard not to pick Casey Jackson here. There is another possibility and that is Jametra Clark. I watched her play great defense in practise all last year, but I haven't seen her in a game situation yet.

Don't know enough about this years crop to go beyond that.

ISU has never been known for great defense. The only player on the current squad that has head-turning defensive ability is soph-to-be G/F Mary Fox. You'll see a lot more of her this season.
