From the 7/26/02 Austin American-Statesman:
Jamie Carey, the Pacific 10 Conference freshman of the year in 1999-2000, will speak to the media today for the first time since joining the Texas women's basketball program. Carey, a guard who set a Stanford record for three-pointers, had her promising career derailed by concussions. She's been conditionally cleared to resume playing by UT physicians in a review in which university president Larry R. Faulkner and vice president Patricia C. Ohlendorf were involved.
