What are some of the biggest wins in the short history of the Big XII? I'm talking about wins by Big XII schools over non-Big XII schools.

Some I came up with:

ISU over UConn in the 1999 Regional Semis
Texas winning @ Tennessee in 2002
Oklahoma over Duke in the the 2002 National Semis
Colorado over Stanford in the 2002 Regional Semis (because it guaranteed a Big XII school in the Final Four)
Missouri winning @ Georgia in the 2nd round of the 2001 NCAA Tournament

I haven't put that much thought into this, so there are probably a lot more out there.

Oklahoma winning @ Purdue in the 2nd round of the 2000 NCAA Tournament - breakthrough game that put OU in the Sweet 16 for the first time.

There is always a danger when you pick a recent game but I would go for our UT's win over that other UT on their floor this year. I think it did wonders for the Big XII image and may have helped some of us get hosting positions in the NCAA tourney. Texas did us proud.

ISU Uconn was also a big win and helped to get the train moving.

Didn't Texas Tech also beat Vandy this year?

I think the "winner" for "best loss" this year was OU at Uconn on their floor. A loss, but an eye opener for folks who were ready to dis the Big Twelve and a message of what was to come during the season.

All of the wins you mentioned are worthy candidates. Great job teams! Go Big 12!!

There is certainly an argument that it wasn't the biggest win in Big 12 history, but the ISU win over UCONN is still the single most exciting sporting event I have ever seen in person.

My friends and I drove half way to Cinci from Des Moines on Friday night, and then into Cinci for the game on Saturday morning. After the game we drove back to the same hotel where we had stayed the night before, and then home on Sunday morning.

It was worth every mile and every hour! http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

2002 TEXAS WIN OVER TENNESSEE ON THEIR FLOOR PROVED THAT THE TALENT LEVEL IN THE BIG 12 WAS FOR REAL - NOT HYPE.
OU WIN OVER TX TECH GETTING THE BIG 12 IN THE FINAL 4.
COLORADO WIN OVER STANDFORD WAS A GOOD WIN

I don't think there is any question that it was the greatest win in Big XII history at the time. Now, there are plenty of great games to choose from, which is a testament to the strength of our conference.
