Sounds like a fun "finish that sentence." I don't know her that well, but it would be fun to hear from some of the Wildcats to try and complete the phrase.

Any takers?

I have never even been on the K-State campus and only been to Kansas once, so I'm no "homer," but for the past 2 and half years this kid has been my favorite player. She is dynamite and I am so glad folks are starting to take note of her play.

I know it was posted earlier, probably by our good friend RSS, but this looked like a good place to post it again, just to tie the two articles together.

Thanks a lot for all your comments. I AM a homer and I love this kid. I enjoy the way she plays every game and the way she acts. In addition to the things that have already been said about her it is just crystal clear that she loves the game and enjoys playing it.

While I am definitely partial to Shalee - she is my absolute favorite player - I have seen how she has stepped up to every challenge issued. People often say that she makes every player around her better (and her high school team is a HUGE example of that... 94-6 record over four years) but she also does the same thing off the court. She lives the way she feels is right and somehow makes others want to live that way also. She is a fantastic role model and is truly grateful for every gift God has given her.

I have a feeling that the turnaround in our team has a lot to do with Shalee's off the court personality. She has a way of drawing people together. These girls are united toward a common goal - winning games and doing it one game at a time.

Oh, and did I mention that the entire KSU team was on the Big12 Commissioner's Honor Roll? Shalee was one of four players with a 4.0! What a leader!

Wildcatwoman, the stories I have been told by her high school teachers and others who know her is what made me a real Shalee fan, love her playing before that. Heroes come in all sizes and all ages, to find one look no further than #5 in purple and white.

Shalee plays with such intensity and devotion to the game. It has been a privilege for me to watch her play in high school and at K-State. For some reason, she has not received the recognition that she deserves. I think she is MVP in the Big 12 and should be 1st team all conference selection at point guard. Of course, I am not biased in the least. :D
