View Full Version : Things looking good for ISU in 02-03!

I wanted a preview of the upcoming season, so I decided to have a look into the future the best way I could figure: I made an ISU WBB team to play NBA Live 2000. Here are some observations:

Wilson and Junod will jack up a combined 30 threes per game, hitting a high enough percentage for it to be worth it. They will go 1-2 in the league in scoring.

Anne O'Neil is a monster on the offensive boards. However, she has a tendency to miss dunks.

Lisa Kriener looks really short next to people like 7'6" Shawn Bradley, but she can hold her own against the best (although she struggles with posts as versatile as Arvydas Sabonis), and she will surprisingly lead the league in steals, as well as blocks and rebounds. She can also dunk when necessary. All the same applies as well to Brittany Wilkins, although to a lesser extent.

Mary Cofield has mad hops. She is capable of flying through the lane for monster jams. Holly Bordewyk is also capable of some cool dunks.

Megan McCracken is able to cut through defenses like a knife through hot butter, laying the ball in the basket before the defense can even react.

Tracy Paustian and Mary Fox will be monsters on defense.

Overall, ISU will outscore most of their opponents by 20+ points. Their lone loss in Big XII play will be to the Portland Trailblazers...

Any questions? http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Like, NO WAY!

But it will be fun to see the "new look" Clones this year.

I'm hoping that OU can get off the schnide this year, and actually beat this team.

They might lose just out of habit!

Great post mred, but you left out the part about how Lindsey Wilson passes the ball to herself through the legs of her defender, grabs the ball on the rise and jams it down over the opposing center's head. How did you miss that?

I made sure the team I made was realistic. Everyone knows she isn't able to do that.... http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif

Didn't Tinsley almost do that against Tech a couple of years ago? http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Jamaal took the easy way out: he passed the ball through his defender's legs to a teammate, instead of to himself. (I think it was against Texas.)But I'm sure Lindsey would like to do him one better.
