It was a very good article indeed. I sincerely hope Pierson can and will live up to the expectations of her this fall. Sharp had a tough decision to make and I respect her immensely for what she had to do. Pierson's absence created a void that was hard to fill. I look for TT to be very strong next season, but now what's this about an early pre-season favorite in the Big 12??? That is a bit premature. Pierson lost an entire year and that you can not make up by yourself in the gym alone. She has missed the full game experience and the rough and tumble of the Big 12. I think Greenwalt is the future and Pierson will need a break-out season to be respected by the WNBA scouts.

If Plenette's head is screwed on right and the teammates are on board, I'd call Texas Tech a prohibitive favorite. The entire league will have some questions, but TTU without Pierson went pretty deep in the tournament.

As for the WNBA, based on what I read here the WNBA is the last thing on Pierson's mind and it should be the last thing. Her focus seems to be set on the here and now, and the here and now is getting back to her place on the team and helping Texas Tech win games.
