Danielle Crockrum and Laneisha Caufield both had a really good outing their first preseason game. Though I don't think the China team is known for being a "physical" team like many of the WNBA teams are.

I'm trying to see if Ross got much PT in the Sparks win, but either the wnba site is having difficulites today, or my work computer is being stubborn.

Jennifer, I saw a report from a Sparks fan that Ross wasn't at an open practice last week. I don't think there is a box score available.....they played at an off-site, and LA seems to be having quite a time keeping their site up to date.

You all are welcome, and let me just say that LA is not the only team that doesn't update their site. I think as a rule the WNBA team sites are crappy.
It's obvious that there is one webmaster for all the teams and that is to blame for the lack of new content on a regular basis. Since they are all cookie cutter it shouldn't be that hard since they probably have a script they go through to update them.
I have been spoiled by Big 12 media relations and website-types that get their stuff done regularly, quickly, and well.
Well, it kind of goes with this territory, since top WNBA draft picks are forced to take a salary that is 1/60th the average NBA salary, and they have to give up almost all of their personal marketing rights as well.
Something tells me the collective bargaining talks are going to get very ugly over this stuff.
Under-promote, under-pay and under-respect the players, and they won't forget it anytime soon. I just laugh when the NBA says they invested 8 millions dollars into this league. How many NBA players make more than that in ONE SEASON?
The good ole' boys are apparently applying the "barefoot and pregnant" policy full-force. Somebody is going to discover the true market value of top women's players playing in an elite league, and either blow the WNBA out of the water, or into an awareness of reality. This isn't 1950, you know.

I agree YCN, but you may not have too much longer to worry about it, if all the rumors of an offseason strike action are true.
This could be the last season of the WNB-Scam.

I hope the WNBA doesn't go anywhere, I've learned it's a valuable tool for dealing with my basketball addictions in the lull of summertime http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif
Will someone please, once again, tell me the formula for posting pictures? I intend to learn how to do that this summer once and for all.

swok--to post a picture
1-right click on the picture and select 'properties' or 'copy picture information'
2-if you select properties, you'll then see a box that will show the picture url. copy this.
3-paste the url where you want the pic to occur.
4-the tags you need to make it show up as a picture and not a link are & .
Hope this is straighforward enough.
My work computer doesn't show the 'properties' tab but gives me the option to 'copy pic information', thus eliminating step 2.
