And who now will coach Colorado State?

Lindsay Whalen of Minnesota (Big-10 Player of the Year, AP third-team All American), Chantelle Anderson of Vanderbilt (SEC Player of the Year, AP first-team All American) and their teammates must be wild with frustration at this agonizing chain of events. The players deserve better than the system is able to deliver.

dem, I think that a few months ago these might have seemed to be plums, but right now all of these jobs have been tainted by one thing or another.

Minnesota is possibly facing really severe sanctions. Vandy is looking really stupid (and desperate) by doing a Notre Dame imitation. And SMS is, in spite of a wonderful group of fans, is looked at as the place where Jackie Stiles used to play, and where their coach left because there wasn't any "upside" there.

Sad to say, and shame on those who seek to coaches for wearing sunglasses so shaded that they can't see the hundreds of talented and dynamic coaches whose dream could begin with any one of these jobs.

The AD's of the country are all trying to simulate the successes seen elsewhere around the country, instead of trying to invent their own.
